Let’s Dump The Junk Food

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything here so I thought I’d jump in big and share 10 days worth of junk food busting tips!  I hope you’ll follow along for this mini event that will help give you a fresh start and begin to eat clean as we inch towards spring.

Over the next 10 days, I’ll be posting daily recommendations and tips to help you break free from junk food, eat clean(er) and begin to feel revitalized and refreshed.

  • Get rid of the junk that is sabotaging your health
  • Decode your cravings
  • Place food in the broader context of life

Today we’ll start be preparing ourselves and taking a couple of steps to become more mindful about what we are about to embark on:

  1. Take a moment to find a quiet spot to sit for a few minutes.  Get comfortable and close your eyes. Take in a deep breath as you become aware of how your body feels in this very moment.  Take stock of all the sensations in your body.  Now visualize how you will feel after experiencing 10 days of being junk food free.  Picture yourself feeling clear minded, refreshed and ready to take on whatever comes your way.
  2. Think about why you are taking this journey.  What are your intentions? Jot these down somewhere where you can refer to them over the next 10 days to remind yourself what you hope to achieve.
